Airbus and BMW Group have launched a global Quantum Computing Challenge called “The Quantum Mobility Quest” to address challenges in aviation and automotive that have been difficult to solve with classical computers.

The challenge, which will be evaluated by a jury of quantum experts, will award a winning team with a €30,000 prize in each of the five challenges by the end of 2024.

The challenge involves improving aerodynamic design, future automated mobility, a more sustainable supply chain, and enhanced corrosion inhibition.
