The webinar provided an overview of the ASPRS Positional Precision Standards for Digital Geographic Data, and a virtual participation in the California Spatial Reference Center Coordinating Council fall meeting discussed revisions to these standards.

The ASPRS reporting methodology is based on RMSE alone, different from the National Standard for Spatial Data Precision (NSSDA).

The document also mentions the removal of the pass/fail requirement for Vegetated Vertical Precision (VVA) for lidar data and provides examples for users to relate the ASPRS 2023 Standards to the FGDC National Standard for SpatialData Precision (NSSDA.)
