Bayanat, an AI-powered geospatial solution provider, and Yahsat, the UAE’s satellite provider, have successfully launched the first Large- area Synthetic Aperture radar (SAR) satellite.

This initiative, in partnership with ICEYE, is part of the UAE’s Earth Observation Space Programme and aims to provide high-resolution, persistent monitoring solutions through a constellation of these satellites.

The SAR technology, which illuminates the Earth’s surface and measures the reflected signal to generate high-resolution images, is crucial for applications in disaster management, maritime surveillance, and smart mobility.
