CARTO has announced two new features for its cloud native platform, spatial indices for raster files and a no code workflow for spatial data analysis.

The platform, which is used in retail, telecom, and for decision making based on environmental data, is also working towards open geospatial interoperability to allow users to work with geospatial data from different data warehouses in the cloud.

The spatial SQL language connects different data warehouses offered by different cloud storage providers.
