On December 5, at a gala event in Houston, Texas, the 50th anniversary of GPS was celebrated by the Resilient Navigation and Timing Foundation.

During the interview, Brad Parkinson, Editor-in-Chief of GPS World, discussed the evolution of GPS from its initial design from the Lonely Halls meeting 50 years ago.

Parkinson also highlighted the significant societal impact of GPS, noting that children today take it for granted.
