The 74th International Astronautical Congress was held in Baku, Azerbaijan, hosted by Azercosmos, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The event was a success, with over 5400 delegates from 132 countries attending.

The opening ceremony was attended by President Ilham Aliyev, who welcomed the delegates.
