Dubai is set to introduce the world’s first green highway, the Green Spine, designed by URB.

The project, which is powered by renewable energy, will feature green roofs, parks, vertical gardens, and bioswales to regulate temperatures, provide recreational spaces, and manage rainwater.

The project is part of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, aiming to create a greener and more sustainable city, and will also feature solar-powered tram systems, urban farms, and the planting of over one million native trees.
