The European Space Agency (ESA) has upgraded the ground segment of the Galileo satellite navigation system without any disruption to its users.

The upgrade, which involved improvements to the operational control centers and the network of ground stations, aims to enhance the robustness and reliability of the system, which is crucial for navigation, timing services, and emergency response.

The upgrade was made possible with the cooperation of the European Union Space Programme Agency (EU SPA) and key industrial partners.
