The Indian Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Parshottam Rupala, has announced the extension of the Kisan Credit Card scheme to fishermen.

The scheme, previously only available to farmers, provides financial support through credit cards tailored to agricultural needs.

Additionally, the government, in collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organization, has developed an instrument to assist fishermen in identifying their location and facilitating communication with shore-based personnel.
