Intecs, a hardware and software developer, is developing a multi-sensor, GPS-based platform for determining train positions on rail lines.

The system, named AGIS4RAIL, uses a data fusion engine that combines GPS and visual data, reducing the time required for the train to reach the next balise.

The system also includes cameras that read QR codes installed in the adjacent area, which can include data for authentication of the landmark itself.
