Japan has launched a rocket carrying a government intelligence-gathering satellite to enhance its military surveillance and disaster response capabilities.

The satellite, which can capture images even in severe weather conditions, is tasked with monitoring military activities in North Korea and enhancing Japan’s preparedness and response to natural disasters.

The primary goal of the program is to establish a network of 10 satellites that can provide early warning for possible missile launches.
