Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Science & Technology, has highlighted the state of Jammu and Kashmir’s emergence as an agri start-up hub, following the Republic Day tableau depicting lavender farms of Bhaderwah.

He noted that the “Purple Revolution” is now being imitated in other Himalayan States like Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Nagaland.

Dr Singh also mentioned that Prime Minister Modi had previously discussed the success story of farming in district Doda, J&K, in his ” Mann Ki Baat” broadcast.
