Mapbox, a global leader in location technology, has introduced new capabilities for its Mapbox Tiled Service (MTS) that allow it to efficiently process, style, and serve raster data, including weather visualizations and custom satellite and aerial imagery.

These capabilities allow commercial and national government agencies to use these new methods of animating raster particles to predict weather behavior, providing accurate insight for decision-making.

The new MTS capabilities also support adding data-driven particle animations to digital maps, a visualization technique ideal for data that includes multiple attributes.
