Morocco has acquired two advanced Earth observation satellites, known as Ofek 13, from Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), valued at approximately $1 billion.

The satellites, equipped with Synthetic Aperture radar (SAR) technology, will enhance Morocco’s ability to monitor its borders, respond to threats, and manage natural disasters.

The acquisition is part of a growing defence partnership between Morocco and Israel, reflecting Morocco’s commitment to modernizing its military and ensuring national security.
