The UK Minister for Science, Research, Innovation has announced a 10-point policy framework for advancing positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT).

The framework includes a National Timing Centre, a National PNT Office, a proposal for ‘MOD Time’, and a proposal for a resilient, terrestrial, sovereign, and high-quality Enhanced Long-Range Navigation (eLORAN) system.

The announcement addressed improvements to both PNT technology and policy.
