Using reality capture to keep the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs alive

Jon Bedford of Historic England led a four-person team to create accurate digital models of the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs.
Reality capture is a technology used in inspection, construction, or design workflows, often as payloads on UAVs, vehicles, or robots.
The project has been underway in London to create accurate 3D, digital models of the famous Crystal Palace dinosaurs, commissioned in 1852 and first unveiled in 1854.
