The University of Alabama, with the support of the National Science Foundation (NSF), has established a unique program called the Alabama Collaborative for Contemporary Education in Precision Timing (ACCEPT).

This program, which is an NSF Research Traineeship (NRT), is designed to train future graduate degree holders in positioning, navigation, timing, and frequency (PNTF), with a focus on precise timing.

The program is designed to provide interdisciplinary training and education for physics, engineering, mathematics, and computer science majors, with the ultimate goal of turning it into a graduate program.
