The Australian Urban Research Infrastructure Network (AURIN) has received a federal grant of $12.3 million under the 2023 National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) round, bringing its total funding to $25 million over the next five years.

AURIN aims to facilitate access to hard-to-get data, contribute to higher research efficiency, and cost-effective scientific investment.

The organization’s strategic plan for 2023–28 includes addressing challenges such as adapting to climate change, facilitating energy transitions, and delivering adequate housing and social infrastructure.
