The European Space Agency (ESA) has approved the development of the NanoMagSat constellation, a significant advancement in the use of small satellites for scientific missions.

The mission, which will use a constellation of three 16U satellites equipped with state-of-the-art instruments, will improve our understanding of the Earth’s magnetic field and ionospheric environment.

The project is a result of the collaboration between ESA and Open Cosmos, which will develop and build the three new satellites.
