01 November 2023
The National Spatial Reference System (NGS) is collaborating with other federal agencies to address the geodesy crisis.
The NGS has awarded approximately $4 million in grant funding to four institutions for projects that will research emerging problems in the field of geodesy, develop tools and models to advance the modernization of the National Spatial Reference System, and help address a nationwide deficiency of geodesists.
The co-chairs of the geodesy community of practice highlighted a few articles that have brought the geodesy Crisis to the attention of the geospatial user community.
