The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Geological Survey of India (GSI) for site-specific geotechnical consultancy and assistance in vetting Detailed Project Reports ( DPRs).

The agreement includes services such as preparation of geological maps, slope stability studies, identification of geologically weak zones, and 3D geological logging of tunnels.

The collaboration is expected to enhance the quality of highway construction, ease operations and maintenance, and provide a seamless travel experience for users.
