The European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EU SPA) has partnered with Quantix, a company specializing in ultra-low power wireless tracking and connectivity semiconductors, to develop a consumer-grade, low-power GPS receiver for EU SPA’s navigation authentication service.

The project, funded under the Fundamental Elements EU R&D mechanism, aims to provide smaller, more cost-effective solutions that extend the operating life of battery-powered navigation devices.

The technology is designed to reduce power consumption compared to traditional GPS receivers.
