The Sanborn Map Company has acquired the assets of VeriDaaS, a technology company specializing in Geiger mode lidar.

The acquisition is expected to drive significant growth for the company, as the technology has matured and can be integrated into the Mapping Division.

The acquired assets include photon counting lidar technology and value-added product generation, with applications in areas such as asset management, vegetation management, solar sighting, flood risk and resilience, wildfire management, and urban change analysis.
