Standford University recently held its 17th annual PNT Symposium, featuring presentations from student speakers and invited guests.

One of the presentations by Brad Parkinson focused on the 50th anniversary of the full scale GPS demonstration in 2023, and the key moments leading up to it.

The industry is also focusing on updating GPS and improving its resilience, as seen in the next generation of satellites, GPS IIIF, and the consortium of partner institutions, CARNATIONS, which includes Standford University, Illinois Tech, Chicago State University, the University of California-Riverside and Virginia Tech.
