The World Geospatial Industry Council (WGIC) has released a report titled “Africa Geospatial Public-Private Partnerships: Business and Financial Considerations” that highlights the strong needs and compelling stories for developing and supporting geospatial infrastructure and Earth observation (EO) sectors with public-private partnerships (PPPs) in Africa.
The report includes the Africa Geospatial PPP Readiness Index, which ranks fifty-three African nations based on the strength of the enabling geospatial business conditions in these countries.
The report aims to provide geospatial stakeholders with a toolkit to evaluate the risks and business models when undertaking PPP considerations and guide those implementations to achieve success for all the parties involved.
