The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) in Abu Dhabi and the Seoul Metropolitan Government have signed an agreement for international cooperation in urban development and transportation innovation.

Abu Dhabi has also opened a regional office of the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organisation (WeGO) for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), which will serve as a hub for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and capacity-building initiatives.

The move is seen as a significant achievement for Abu Dhabi, reinforcing its position as a leading hub for smart sustainable urban development in the region.
