The US and India are set to launch a joint microwave remote sensing satellite for Earth observation, named NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture radar (NISAR), in the first quarter of the following year.

The satellite will be launched on India’s PSLV.

This comes after the launch of 231 satellites from the US by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
