UK-based imaging sensor manufacturer, Teledyne Space Imaging, has provided key imaging and sensor instrumentation for the EarthCARE satellite, a climate monitoring project jointly developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).

The satellite, set to launch in May 2024, will use Teledyne Space Imaging’s instrumentation to capture data for environmental monitoring and decision-making.

The launch will take place from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, US, using a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.
